On-Demand Printing Solutions for the Automotive Industry
IIMAK offers variable printing technologies to identify, label, and track automotive components in process and in the supply chain. Vehicle parts marking is vital for traceability of items such as batteries, tires, brake pads, airbags, and seat belts.Whether you are using thermal transfer ribbons, inkjet ink or hand stamping, automotive OEM and aftermarket suppliers can choose the level of durability needed so printed images can withstand abrasion, heat, steam, and harsh chemicals. IIMAK’s transfer ribbons feature the patented Clean Start® built-in printhead cleaner, which maximizes thermal ribbon performance in Zebra, Sato, Datamax, Intermec, Printronix and other thermal transfer printers.Learn more about automotive labeling solutions. For information regarding IMDS and the automotive industry click here.
Highly versatile. Durable enough to withstand heat, steam, and many chemicals and cleaners associated with automotive component manufacturing and parts marking. Compatible with polypropylene/BOPP, polyethylene, polyester, and vinyl labels.
Maximum resistance to abrasion and the harshest chemicals, including gasoline and brake fluid for under the hood of a vehicle. Best performance on topcoated polyester labels.
Resin-enhanced to provide crisp barcodes and good durability when printing on paper or synthetic paper labels. Ideal for compliance labels including AIAG, GM1724, GTL, Odette and other standards. SW200 is an efficient alternative.
MEK and other solvent CIJ fluids deliver excellent adhesion when printing directly on metal, plastic and glass. A variety of specialized formulations are available.
AeroBrand® epoxy inks can be applied with a hand stamp and withstands most solvents and degreasers, ensuring the permanence of printing on hard-to-mark automotive parts. Additional custom inks are available.
